We're conserving water at our data center in Douglas County, Ga. thanks to a system we recently set up that uses reuse water—also known as grey- or recycled water—in our cooling infrastructure. A typical data center can use hundreds of thousands of gallons of water a day. Our data center in Douglas County, like most of our facilities, uses evaporative cooling, meaning we bring cold water into the data center to cool the servers, then release it as water vapor.
